aTm shouldn't have licensed it. Seattle owns it now. The entire world will now associate it with them not TAMU.

Always helps to be first to the marketplace. Cheap knockoff is cheap knockoff.

You really think I'm trolling? (Hint: I'm not and y'all didn't make enough for what you're losing.) It's a dumb move. A&M is trying to establish it's brand nationally and now a huge part of it is going to be associated with Seattle. That would've been fine if Seattle sucked or if A&M won the title this year. Now though everyone will think it's the other way around - that aTm is ripping them off.

Confused by thread title since it was a neutral site game.
I throw my support behind your "12th Man" thread.

I like aTm. Have nothing against the Aggies what so ever but he has a point.
I was up there at Ft Lewis for a long while man, that 12th man thing is growing nationally because of those fair weather Seachicken fans. It is what it is but this Superbowl victory doesnt help at all.

I have a cousin who lives there and isn't an Aggie but he's a Seahawk fan and reminds those around them that they stole it from us.

As much as you want us to be pissed about this, we simply arent. Sorry that our indifference bothers you so much.

I mean the phrase really isn't worth that much as a marketing tool in the end

Wow smack talk from your fellow pledge brother. Pretty sad.

Literally the only people who care are Ags too old to know how to use the internet and Texas fans who are pissed about all the attention we are getting recently. The vast majority of Ags literally couldnt care less.

FWIW, I like aTm too. Here's the thing: we went through this with UTex. Years ago UTex stole our interlocking UT on helmets. They used it with their colors, burnt cowskin orange and white, but it was still a shade of orange and white. We ended up in a lawsuit with them over the interlocking U and T design they were using on their helmets. We settled for UTex being allowed to wear it West of the Mississippi River while we wore it East of the Mississippi. BUT when games started being broadcast more and more nationwide we introduced the Power T on our helmets. Now the Power T logo is trademarked because we learned from that case. When you see it on gear it's one of the few logos where you'll see a ® or ™ beside it (has nothing to do with NCAA licensing and everything to do with protecting the trademark).
I like the Power T better than the old intelocking UT design. I also think UTex's longhorn helmet is also better and thus both schools ended better off afterwards. However, the confusion between UT and the UTex was a threat to our brand and UTex's brand. A&M and the Seahawks sharing the same slogan (and especially with Seattle being an NFL team broadcast around the world and now with Seattle winning the Super Bowl) is a threat to A&M's brand and ability to market itself.

You'd be right if Seattle was a college team. We don't compete

Seattle played like stars. Real warriors, they were.
