Of course you are. Your inability to figure it out isn't important to me.

Maybe, but I don't think TCU will win, so better luck next year.

Thankfully, your boys will beat Wisconsin so I won't have to wait until next year.

Make sure you give Urban props from all of us Alabama fans on Monday.

That game is irrelevant to your chances. Winner is ahead of Bama.

TCU is your team this week.

Nah.

If Wisconsin wins they are in.

Ohio State?

Yes, Ohio State.

Take it up with Kirby Hocutt.

Remember when TCU was ranked #3 going into the last week, and TCU stomped the shite out of Iowa State but Baylor, OSU, and FSU all played better teams that week and all jumped them? I mean OSU jumped them by beating a worse Wisconsin team (albeit it was 59-0).

OSU playing undefeated Wisconsin and Bama being idle, idk. Seems like OSU is in if they win, especially if there's very little separation like they said on the selection show. It's not necessarily 5,6,7,8, it could be 5.00,5.01,5.02,5.03.

Also, the situation between Penn State and OSU last year isn’t comparable to OSU and Bama this year.

Penn State 2016:

Significant wins - Wisconsin, Ohio State
Losses - blowout to Michigan, close loss to unranked Pitt

Ohio State 2016:

Significant wins - Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Michigan
Loss - Penn St

Ohio State's resume was in every way superior. The committee has shown head to head and conferences championships are a factor, but it’s not some end all, be all factor. The important thing is overall body of work, which Ohio State's was clearly superior.

Ohio State 2017

Significant wins - Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin (assuming they win)
Losses - blowout loss to unranked Iowa, blowout loss to potential P5 champ Oklahoma

Alabama 2017

Significant wins - LSU is their best win by far
Loss - potential P5 champ Auburn

Here OSU has the wins advantage, Bama has the loss advantage. Really just depends on your criteria. Bama has taken care of business in their lesser foes, but the best team they played they lost by 12 and it honestly should have been worse, it wasn’t just some fluke win. The fact that OSU has been able to beat better teams than Bama has beaten could be a factor, I mean Iowa was a shitshow no doubt but they’ve also beaten much better teams than Iowa (and anyone Bama has beaten for that matter). It’s kind of a wash imo. If you’re gonna punish Wisky and UCF for not having any good wins despite beating everyone in front of them, pretty much all of them handily, then Bama shouldn’t be rewarded for the same thing plus losing to the only good team they face.

This is where being a conference champion may be more of a factor as a "tiebreaker" of sorts, but we don't know. But this is why you can’t go “herp derp OSU got in last year over Penn St so why shouldn’t Bama this year.” The scenarios are not really comparable.

I want TCU and OSU to win to cover my bets. Then I am rolling the dice for an AU 2 seed and Bama 3 seed....I want them Tigers like a hog wants his slop.

Yeah, what would he know. TideSaint has the real scoop on the committee's thoughts...

"They put Fresno State in the top 25!!!"

Gumps...

2 losses to one should be a deciding factor, and both the OSU L's were bad

Nope. B/c they lost by 31 freaking points to a 7-5 team. This isn't LSU losing to UK in OT in 2007. This is a 31 point arse kicking in which they quit. You know there is no way you could see Bama losing by 31 to anyone, let alone an average 7-5 team. I don't know if Bama deserves to be in or not, but I 100% know OSU doesn't. That loss that bad (combined with a 15 point loss at home) should disqualify them.

AgreeBama should be in over OSU. Why would the committee cut OSU any slack this year after getting curb stomped by Clemson 31-0 in the semis last year.
Bottom line: Big10 hasn't scored a point in last two semi finals...they have no cred vs the SEC or ACC. Better two SEC or ACC teams before another Big10 embarrassment for the third year in a row..

Oh. Then the rankings become easier.

Bama gets to sit behind UCF or Memphis, too.

If OSU wins in a close game, ie single digits, Bama gets in. If OSU wins convincingly, then OSU will jump them.

Bama fans will be pulling for that close game with the Buckeyes pulling it out.
