Was to watch the complete meltdown that would ensue after it was announced. It would've been glorious.

i agree that would have been so glorious for you. it’s just too bad you’re stuck here in the timeline where it was never happening.

Much to the point of the earlier thread, exactly where would that melt come from.

The man gave a LOT of years to Bama and won several NCs and competed for more.

He is in his 70s and felt the game was moving away from the parts that gave him joy.

He moved on. If he wants to put his foot back in the water as HC, DC, AD, or President at LSU or anywhere else, I would say good on him, as would many.

Not every school burns an effigy and goes on a 17 year crazy ex meltdown.

frick. We never wanted him anyway. We just said we did cause we wanted to watch you idiots melt. Same with Lane. Jimbo was always our first choice.

This will go down as the greatest coaching search season of all time….and it’s barely November.

Sound like Democrats voting for communists just because they think they're sticking it to Trump.

Slow your roll. Saban's not a fan of the chicken on a stick.

If you don't think most bama fans wouldn't have a complete meltdown down you are in denial. Example: bama loses to auburn and bama fan kills her cousin.
Example 2: bama fan poisons iconic trees on Auburn's campus.

why stop there? imagine how funny the bama meltdown would have been if saban had won all of his championships at lsu instead? the look on their faces, genuinely hilarious to even think about. like, that's sooooooo many championships.

OP: LSU has never and will never have Alabama's pedigree. Alabama changed college football in 1925 bringing the downtrodden south, still under the grip of northern tyranny from the Civil War, a victory for the ages that lifted every oppressed southerners hope for the future. 4 of the greatest coaches of all time (Frank Thomas, Wallace Wade, Bear Bryant, Nick Saban) lead Alabama to 17 NCs and nothing LSU can ever do will come close to that. Saban knew when he took the Alabama job it was the best in the country. He's a smart man - with no previous connection or affinity to or for Alabama except for it's blue-blood history of great coaches, players, and respect from every corner of the college football world. Alabama is Shangri-La for a coach. Saban knew it then and he knows it now. That's why despite buying an $18 million mansion in Jupiter, Florida Nick & Miss Terry still spend most of their time in their Tuscaloosa lake-house home.

Well let’s look at dat stringer:

You got a couple of sakalait, white perch too small but you gonna keep em (LSU FANS) a few red ear shell crackers (bama fans not too hard core) , a couple of red snappers (Bama fans a little grumpy about it all), , and even a couple of big ole Cats (Big ole Bammers). Fry em all up.

You sound pretty young and immature. Most Bams have moved on and feel like the program is in good hands.
