there is a thread on 247 about us going after Kentucky's HC
their woman's HC. Might work... We did field a bunch of pussies so it isn't that far out there.

Coach Bobby Finstock from Teen Wolf is my lastest candidate.

I'm starting to wonder if everybody who is "in the know" or "has sources" have any clue what we are doing.

Mike Davis' name is being thrown around now.
The guy has a horrible reputation and has been fired twice.

I'm not seeing how our AD is pissing off the boosters, unless they are just getting impatient. They need to stay out of his business and let him do his job. He has done a good job so far so everyone should have faith in him until he actually does screw up. Nobody knows what is going on with this coaching search, i feel they are keeping it all under wraps.
And remember Saban "I will not be the next coach at Alabama". So anything you hear about these coaches "withdrawing" or "aren't interested" doesn't exactly mean that is the case. I'm not gonna worry too much until they announce our new coach.

It's like this, Stricklin wants to cut ties with AAU boosters and hire a coach who runs a program based on fundamentals and defense. The boosters know if we do this we could really struggle and also they wouldn't have the power and influence they had when Stsns was HC
College basketball is FAR dirtier than college football.

Why couldn't we hire a coach with good fundamentals and defense, and still keep the AAU boosters. (this is pretty much what UK has).

AAU players are known for offensive output and flashy play for the most part.

Dunno. I think it's a big power struggle boosters will ultimately win over Stricklin.

The are also known for being headaches and wanting everything handed to them.

We don't have any problems with them, and almost all of our players were AAU players...

Comparing Kentucky to ANY basketball program in the SEC is like comparing Apples and oranges.

Almost every recruit in the country who is worthy of a D1 offer plays on an AAU team. Some AAU teams are run by really really scummy people though. It's the coaches you have to worry about, not the players.
