it wont matter when auburn loses it. its pretty clear how auburn would have won this title. every time they are good probation is looming. that makes the sec look bad and out of control which is thanks to that corrupt bitch slive

hmmmm...why do they get the consideration and ascend the rankings, maybe b/c of the PERCEPTION that the SEC is the best. b/c isn't that what people vote off of, perception? seems like you don't even understand your own rant.
No dickhead I understand it perfectly clear, like I said it only makes us look like spoiled pussies to have to rely on that, for as much shite as they've been given teams like TCU and Boise have had to bust their asses to get the level of consideration they currently hold, and it's not guaranteed that the SEC is always gonna be the best that's just college football some team is gonna get hosed throughout the season. The SEC has already established it's golden age, the Big-10 was shite this year but they still get plenty of respect and consideration, and as I said they still beat the SEC's second best team, nice try with your circular arse argument, now GTFO.

What's wrong with it ? I'm hoping AU wins tonight and I can assure you I am neither inbred nor poor.
Perhaps the reciprocal is true.

their second best team barely beat our second best team. so what?

your argument contradicts itself. you say perception doesn't mean shite but perception is how the votes get made.
you use a contradictory argument to prove your stupid point and get mad at me when i call you out for it. The sec benefits greatly from perception that it is the best conference in college football and we would like to get the benefit of that PERCEPTION for years to come. like was previously stated in this thread, LSU got to the BCSNCG in 2007 largely due to that PERCEPTION. damn, that perception thing keeps proving to be valuable yet you want to discredit it.

PERCEPTION
This.
Everyone needs to grow up and admit, until (and this is not going to happen) FBS goes to a playoff system, it will ALWAYS be about which team (and indrectly, conference) is PERCEIVED to be the best. There is no other way around the "ranking" system we currently have.
You don't have to like it. You just have to accept it.

<------ rarely pulls for SEC teams in bowl games, unless it's against Notre Dame or Texas

Your not understanding the argument.
I understand just fine, ya'll believe that Auburn winning will further bolster the SEC's perception nationally (not sure if you have an accurate perspective of the SEC's perception nationally). But in the past week it has been really funny watching most of the AU posters try to rally support under this "SEC perceived dominance" banner. I don't buy it. If you're dominant, you'll be dominant, not sure how my support or lack thereof will affect that.
And to whoever said more money is gained for the conference if Auburn wins, that just isn't true. Just being there adds money to the SEC's collective coffers.

You serious Clark? Pretty sure that is the same thing...but whatever floats your boat I guess.

God it's like talking to a tree I swear it's dipshits like this that give off a perception of dumbasses amongst our fanbase. Furthermore if the SEC's second best lost to the Big 10's second best (equal standing in their respective conferences) what does that say about the SEC hmmmm? As I said you guys are blowing this whole perception thing out of proportion, if the Big 10 a shite excuse for a conference, manages to get the resepect and consideration it need to have dotted the polls all season long then clearly this "perception" you speak of isn't all it's cracked up to be. To me this whole irrational SEC chant is an excuse for the teams that didn't make it to the big game to feel like they're part of it by hiding behind their conference, and joining each other in a big gay SEC man-love-suck-fest, makes me sick. Inbreds of Dixie have fun swallow all you can muster.
and as far as understanding the argument I present to you this, a level-headed poster who clearly wasn't the product of inbreeding:
