Would you agree that until Saban became Bama's coach and the majority of LSU fans began having strokes and freaking out, this board was relatively free of Bama fans? Personally I only began lurking over here once LSU's Saban/Bama obssesion began. I only began posting as a response to more of the same. Just like this thread, you start it and Bama fans respond.
I am sure, just like all of you can easily point out to Alabama fans that we are delusional, arrogant, hung up on Coach Bryant, etc. and it is hard for us to realize and accept that; it must be as equally difficult for you LSU fans to realize and accept just how totally and completely obssessed with Saban and what ever is going on at Alabama. But trust me, you are. All of you.

serioulsy i could care less if bama and saban fell off the face of the earth today...i dont pay any more attention to bama than any other sec team...can you say the same about lsu??

I can't because A). I am an LSU fan, have been all my life. B). Most of my friends/family went to LSU. C). I have to keep up with LSU in order to point out the hypocrisy of my LSU grad/fans friends who are obssessed with hating on my Alma Mater. And D). I must admit I am mildly obssessed with LSU fans on so many levels. Living here and watching and listening to you all somewhat objectively is like being a kid with an ant farm.
Make sense? And do you understand my point about how this board came to have so many Bama fans or does that not add up?

Sure we would like to have some crystal balls, but I am not obsessed with the balls. If you got them, show them off.

i think bama fans would like to see LSU's program decline in order to prove that saban is the savior and show that he'll be able to make bama into a powerhouse. they want to be what LSU has become this decade and it has lead to a little obsession. i don't think they're quite as obsessed as LSU fans are about bama, but it definitely exists and the gumps denying it in this thread are full of shite

I'll be honest. I like LSU, LSU fans, Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, etc. It's my favorite trip.
I love Alabama.

You came close from about '96 to '02.The Alabama-LSU baseball series was not just a 'rivalry',but had National implications, a la Duke-North Carolina basketball. Alabama not only had the best baseball program behind us in the SEC,but arguably either with or slightly behind Miami has the best in the country during that period.
I think Jim Wells is an outstanding coach.But,honestly,I think he needs to step down.I know he's "firey",but he seems to have lost some of his zip.

thanks for being honest and like i said im not trying to say that i dont like anyone being on here i just wanted to hear at least one of you bama fans say that you were into lsu declining just as much as some lsu fans worry about saban

I think Wells has rekindled something. Gertting Gaspard back was a big deal. We've recruited a ton better and we knocked the cover off the ball last year with a bunch of young guys.
We gotta find some pitching.
I think we could host a Super Regional this year. We have a good nucleus coming back.

I agree. Bama's obsession with LSU "going back to mediocraty (can't spell)" and "Miles winning with Saban's players", and "Saban made LSU" is as bad as our obsession with Saban. They may not be on this board, but they exist throughout Alabama. The ones on this board are respectful because they come to our board to talk football. But, I've been to many other SEC sites and their obsession with Miles is just as bad.
