The Narrative of Ole Miss Missed Tackles

Lets break it down by game.
Ole Miss (2026 season, through 3 games) has 46 missed tackles per PFF data, broken down as:
vs. Louisville (Week 1, W 41-38): 25
vs. Charlotte (Week 2, W 41-9): 10
vs. LSU (Week 3, W 32-24): 11
25 against Louisville was ugly and contributed to 469 yards allowed. But the defense cleaned it up fast. Only 11 against a ranked LSU team is a completely different story.
They’re still near the bottom of the SEC/FBS in missed tackles overall (and ranked poorly in yards after contact / explosive plays allowed), but the trend is sharply upward. Pete Golding’s unit is adjusting in real time.
The “Ole Miss can’t tackle” talk was fair after Week 1. After three games it’s becoming outdated.
Thoughts before Florida?

When Pete Chizik loses his judge appointed qb, OM will be back to the very mediocre program they have always been. The qb after all is the second best player on the team.

I imagine OM will be closer to 25 today than 2 since they’re facing Baugh.

Looks like Ole Miss didn't do a lot of tackling in fall camp. A lot of teams look bad in game one for this reason.

Where is PFF getting 2 missed tackles from? Green broke 2 tackles on one of his long catches alone and I know there were others.
