Georgia beating a west team has nothing to do with the EAST standings.. wtf.
If UGA loses to LSU and AU, they will not be playing in Atlanta in December unless it is on Dec 31.

B. THREE (OR MORE) TEAM TIE
1. (Once the tie has been reduced to two teams, go to the two-team tie-breaker format.)
2. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams.
3. Record of the tied teams within the division.
4. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
5. Overall record vs. non-division teams.

TWO-TEAM TIE
1. Head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
2. Records of the tied teams within the division.
3. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall record (divisional and non-divisional) Conference record and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last.
4. Overall record vs. all common non-divisional opponents.
UGA beat AU...USC did not.

What you're trying to say (poorly) is that losing to a cross divisional opponent doesn't hurt you the way that losing a head to head game to a divisional foe that you end up in a tiebreaker situation with. For example, LSU/Alabama last year. Had LSU beaten Florida, LSU still would have lost the West because we'd lose the tiebreaker to Bama by virtue of losing to them head to head.
It's not losing to a cross divisional opponent or divisional opponent that is really the issue though. It's losing to a divisional opponent that you end up in a tiebreaker with. LSU could have lost just to Miss State last year and won the tiebreaker for the West title. An embarrassing loss for the ages to be sure but it illustrates the point.
But back to the point that you're deflecting from. Georgia needs to win this weekend's game more than any other team this weekend. Your Big Six status depends on it. East titles don't mean shite. This is Murray's senior year. Starting off 2-2 would catastrophic.

UGA since they have one loss, ranked lower, and are at home. This is a revenge game for UGA from the SEC Champ stomping.

Georgia
LSU could get that win back in the SECCG. Assuming they win out after that.

I was being sarcastic...ya know, since his post said losing to teams in the other division doesn't hurt you.....and USC beat every team in the east that year.
