BOL'ers...how credible is W&L?
I hope somewhre Tony Franklin is in a trailer park, drunk and unshaven for two months, wearing nothing but a bath robe, a wife beater and boxers, and I hope he stumbles upon this thread and a light bulb goes off for the first time in three years:
He buys a razor, dusts of his old suit, and calls TT. They reconcile their differences, and march gallantly into the football offices with an army of blue windbreakers and in an hour-long sweep of the building take apart offices and file cabinets (there have to be hard files involved, I mean c'mon). Thats how shite needs to go down
Nuggets like this is why if you're just now stumbling onto this thread, you need to go back and read the whole thing.

quote:maybe I missed it, but what's the source of this essentially? history of auburn doesn't mean much to me and I didn't read any of it. just hearsay and speculation from several dozen ppl claiming sources, or something more substantial? is it just the general timeline of events that were in the media? anyone?
AU is fricked

Well, when the Board of Trustees and leaders of Auburn's football program comprises the same people today as it did both ten years ago and twenty years ago when the either the school or football team was on probation, I'd say history is relevant, especially when close associates of these people are under federal indictment for a vote-buying scheme. Another person, Robert Geddie, is included in this indictment. Robert Geddie runs a lobbying firm, which receives payments from Tigers Unlimited Foundation (which raises money for Auburn's athletic program). That is a direct, monetary connection between Auburn's athletic program and a lobbyist who is under federal indictment for vote-buying.

I think the Terry Bowden situation is repeating itself only this time it's Gene Chizik reprising the role of Tater Tot.

So, Tuberville played the role of Bowden this go round?
Are Jedi involved with this, Obiwon and Vader style? The student becomes the teacher kind of thing. Haha.

I found myself, under the covers at midnight reading several pages on my phone, probably spent an hour under there, except having to come out for air. A grown man...I have reproduced twice mind you...I am responsible for directing these kid's life, and there I was, reading this incredible work by other people more pathetic than myself at midnight, under my covers...I assume trying to hide my pathetic behavior from my wife.
Salty, we've all been there.

Okay, take this for what it's worth, but it's being reported that Jody Wright, the Alabama assistant interviewed by the NCAA last night, was the one who recruited Cam Newton for Mississippi State. It's believed that Wright was the (legal) middle man between the Newton's and MSU.

Wow if any of this would be credible your talking about a RICO nightmare for AU!!! The umbrella would cover almost everything. They might just convert Auburn to a penitentiary if this proves correct! Wow just Wow.
