1. this is the most interesting thread i've ever read at td.com
2. auburn fans, i don't understand why there is any reason to think ms state is in any kind of trouble. i could be wrong but, nothing i've read so far from any source gives even an inkling of that. the ms state angle isn't nearly as interesting as the slive explanation for why state was rebuffed and why he didn't step in prior to the georgia game when he knew there was a big, big problem.
3. while the fbi investigation could go on for years, it appears the ncaa investigation will happen quickly. they can declare newton ineligible for whatever reason they see fit and not announce the reason due to the ongoing fbi investigation.
4. alabama and auburn football are 10 times more interesting than lsu football and i don't mean interesting in a good way. i mean in a goodfellas kind of way.
5. i can't imagine that auburn would get kicked out of the sec. the only reason i can think that this would happen is if auburn were not able to contribute athletically to the conference any more. btw, if they do get kicked out, i'm lobbying for ga tech to replace them.
6. some auburn fans have stated that school officials met with the ncaa thurs and "everything is ok". that is not what was being reported in the media. auburn was told that the ncaa was aware of a potential eligibility problem with newton and that they play him at their own risk. that is far from "everything is ok".

So I'm assuming Auburn folks still haven't heard about possible discontent with the Athletic Dept/Boosters and Admin/Compliance concerning the decision to play Cam on Saturday?

I wish there was a printer friendly version of this thread. I would love to print this all out and hand it out (or sell it) to everyone interested in camgate.

For the all the armchair private investigators/ attorneys posting in this thread.... kenny rogers has a son from birmingham who is a D1A RUNNING BACK RECRUIT... Auburn needs running backs... there's no grand conspiracy.

This thread is the greatest...

Have they made offers to pay him yet?

If I am not mistaken, didn't his lawyer speak up and say they weren't going to talk about AU. Then he went out of his way to make sur it was clear that KR did not implicate AU.

Is this the greatest thread in SEC rant history? I vote yes.

read most of the first half of this thread, but what's so interesting as far as relevant info? the overdramatic predictions of the supposed bama insider w/ an obvious agenda?

If this is true I could see some Admin/Compliance person going all Watergate/Deep Throat on the situation to expose the boosters and such and protect the school.

Do we really have any confirmation that the FBI is conducting a investigation in Auburn?

No but Tubberville pulled his offer from Roger's son committed to Texas tech.

It really sucks that Tubberville wasn't an announcer anymore while all this business was going down.
