Back in the day I went to HS in BR with a really nice girl and her brother was the MSU kicker . So my freshman year I went to my first game at the old stadium. It held like 35k ( seriously) but was still loud as hell. LSU had the much better year but somehow State managed to beat LSU . And the girl I knew -her brother having just kicked the winning field goal - was waiting there with her cowbell as I walked out of the stadium. Ouch . Not only did LSU lose but the guy who did it sister was all in my face.
Edit- I got some of the details mixed up but you get the idea.

Thank you for the props. The Junction was unbelievable last night. I agree that we are underrated with the town and campus.
Starkvegas is still a college town though it has become a bustling small city over the last 15-20 years.
Campus because of our horticulture program is the best tended landscape in the SEC.
Stadium is lite years different today versus 1985 when it was 30,000 capacity. It is a beautiful venue that now looks like a real stadium. Yes it is still one of the smaller ones in the SEC but when you are in it, it feels like it is bigger than 60K+.
Atmosphere last was electric from an hour before kickoff until well after the game was over.

That place was rocking, and it looked fantastic on TV. The stadium looked very, very nice. Great atmosphere.

Did not make it to any bars but the Junction was rocking into the wee hours of the night.

I know we LSU fans love to crap on Starkvegas but it is usually one of my favorite trips. My son and his crew visited this weekend and had a great time
