JUMP ON THE BANDWAGGON!

My theory...
You know how there are some individuals that are just gifted like none other? Like writing a a Constitution and the D.O.I, 250 some odd years ago and it still functions today...
There was a group of men way back when during the "Bible times", and they decided to start their own book so they were all the most intellectual men and the wrote different chapters each. Maybe there was a Jesus, and maybe he was just a fake like he was accused of being, and he claimed he was God, these people wrote about it.

We don't claim we do. There'd be no point in having science if we had everything figured out.

But the science crowd is always using "science" to disprove God. That's my point.

False.

Unprovable, but I'm sure it's false. I'd say odds are the average atheist is smarter than the average Christian. That's just because it's the norm to be christian. (Speaking of the USA here)

Your point is wrong. That's not what science is about. It does that when the religious types try to get in the way for stupid reasons.

I don't doubt that there was a jesus.
I doubt that there is a god and that Jesus was Him and his son at the same time.

how can you be a fan of Jesus? if you don't believe He was God, then it should offend you that HE believes himself to be. so you should think he was nuts. how can you dig a person whose story you don't believe? because he was a "good guy?"

truth is, you aren't offended by the thought of Jesus. THIS IS GOOD. go from there. but don't just say "i just don't believe He was God." you speak things into existance in your own life especially. if you aren't offended by the thought of Jesus, then chances are, you are just too busy trying to find your own way... and not listening to His words. maybe?? i don't know you. i just feel strongly about people that say "i like Jesus.... i just don't believe he was God" JUST like you said.

Yeah I'm serious. For the vast course of human history almost everyone was religious. Atheists have a greater % of smart people though, I'm not saying that.

It doesn't matter to me. Nietzsche was nuts, but it doesn't mean he didn't have some good ideas.

so you liken Jesus to Nietzsche? do you think people will talk about Nietzsche as much as they talk about Jesus in 2,000 years post 1900?

That doesn't matter. Like I said, everyone fricking believed the earth was flat. Doesn't make it true. The value isn't in who said it, but what was said.

Nietzsche never healed a paralytic. He never turned water into wine. He never fed 5000 people with next to nothing. He never healed the blind or deaf. He never raised the dead. He NEVER performed any miracles. He never quieted a storm.

And here's the thing. You can deny this or accept this. PEOPLE were there and saw it. You can choose to believe that those miracles didn't happen, but here and now, 2000 years later the only record IS the Bible and whatever they have locked up in teh Vatican.

So what you're saying is that it's worthless.

Do you know when the gospels were written btw?
