The smallest dollop of credit I’ll give Beamer for that game against clemson is he had multiple opportunities to kick a FG late to avoid the shutout and he didn't. Kept going for six.

Meanwhile, the coach before him kicked a FG late to do just that in a blowout loss.

So did the coach currently coaching at the school with the longest streak of games with a score.

I remember being at that game. Goff tried to punch it in from the one on fourth down but was denied. If he'd kicked a FG, what would have been the previous shutout?

Without the turnovers, I'm confident that Alabama would have shut off Florida in 2014.

Florida has 200 yards of offense and 11 first downs. They never got back to back first downs in the game.

Alabama had 3-4 turnovers and gave Florida a very short field twice. Florida's other touchdown was a fumble return.

Alabama would have also shut out Tennessee in 2017, if not for a 90 something yard pick six late in the 4th quarter.
