Exactly. I did recruiting for the CDC in Atlanta and we routinely posted jobs that were already filled the second they hit the job openings page.

No, actually I'm not. It would be extremely difficult and would be a PR and legal nightmare, but if the University of Arkansas were absolutely committed to letting Petrino keep his job, they could do it and would be able to financially afford to do so. (See Mike Dubose fing his secretary at Alabama). There would be no smart reason to go through all the trouble though.
