Sometimes they post things as a formality, even though they have hired someone to try to fit in with compliance. I suppose we'll see...

Have you ever interviewed for a job? You an expect at some time to hear "that job has been filled already" even though you are looking at proof that it is still posted. The frickup, like someone else pointed out, was CBPIIHBP didn't follow proper channels in reviewing applicants and therefore makes it even more obvious he hired her immediately because he was nailing her. HR has no control over who is hired in most cases. They just process the paperwork.

This sucks. Why could'nt she get her arse in the woods and start hiking back to Fayetteville until a grad assistant could be dispatched to pick her up. I really hope Long makes a good hire if it comes to that.

In the end I think they fire him. If Petrino were a model citizen and well respected nationally, I think he (and the university) could survive this. But combine a sex scandal coverup with already having the reputation of a slimeball and there is no way for him to be an effective football coach, even if the university could deal with all the legal issues.

Some issues have no "out". This is one of them. PR aside, a schools hands can be tied on some things.

There is no way that Arky can keep BP after this even if they wanted to. Cheating on your wife is one thing but giving somone a job at the State University for sex is diff.
