He's as good as gone IMO...ESPN article mentions his contract: "The contract, which was for an average of $3.53 million annually, had a clause in it that would allow Arkansas to dismiss Petrino for "engaging in conduct, as solely determined by the university, which is clearly contrary to the character and responsibilities of a person occupying the position of head football coach or which negatively or adversely affects the reputation of the (university's) athletics programs in any way."

You are correct, I have had to sit on Grievance Committees that dealt with this exact bullshite. We had to let people go that had buildings and textbooks named after them. You never never never never bang someone you work with, especially if they are your subordinate. His popularity or who is backing him or fan support doesn't mean jack shite at this point. This is one of the rare occasions when it is simply a matter of what's right...

I agree with nbamagasm on this one. Part of it for me is knowing not to do something so blatantly stupid that you get caught.
