the wager is the firing or resignation of Petrino as head football coach at Arkansas....now if you want some 'sure money', jump in with all fours....again, I'll give you 3/2....in other words for every 2 dollars that you pay me if I win, I pay you 3 dollars if you win the wager...you do comprehend the concept, right ?

We also have no idea what news or information will come out over the next few days. If there are rumblings of this happening anywhere else, there is no way he can save his job, IMO.
As it is now, he surely has a morality clause in his contract, and it will depend a lot on that. They are in for a PR mess either way, and he's squarely put them in that position.

Not really. Let's say they pay this chick 4 million dollars to settle this thing (and that is a huge exaggeration...would be more like $250,000). A top 10 program at Arkansas is worth 15 to 20 million more a year than an average Houston Nutt style program. This decision will have nothing to do with how much it costs to keep the girl quiet or settle a lawsuit. It will have everything to do with whether or not Petrino has the ability to continue to lead this program at an elite status after this scandal. If they decide the recruiting impacts, distractions and negative publicity on the University will be too much, he is canned.
