The fact that his leave is paid means there's a chance he's gone. If he was not getting paid the. That would be the punishment. Getting paid is the university's way (smartly) of covering its back from algal standpoint while they further investigate.
I think she likely gets a huge severance package (insert joke here) & leaves. Petrino like has two game suspension. However, key to it all is when the affair began.

Got to be humiliating for the girl's bf and his wife and kids. Couldn't imagine this kind of dirty laundry and publicity happening to my parents, especially when they're in hs and college.
