I stand by it. Nobody is scared of Georgia. At least nobody that I talk to. I think in a rematch we can win. Let me edit and clarify: There is respect for Georgia. Probably more respect today that there was a week ago from today. But Georgia just doesn't strike fear into the hearts of anyone. They aren't the cold-blooded killers of those Saban/Bama teams that were loaded to the gills. Sorry if that (still) offends UGA nation.

These are the weirdest most detached from reality posts I see on here.

Who tf are you speaking for when you refer to “we” and “nobody”? The armchair QB friend you talk to who told everyone “wur gunna beat the frick out of dem boys just like that sugar bowl.” Are you a part of the staff at Texas? Or in the college football world as your profession?

quote:

But Georgia just doesn't strike fear into the hearts of anyone.

Again, who is this? Who are you speaking for? All of college football teams were polled and said “yeah, Georgia just doesn’t strike fear in the hearts of anyone”

I’ve noticed a lot of posters here love espousing complete conjecture as universal objective truths and then refuse to clarify what the actual frick they’re saying. It’s very bizarre.

These Texas teams are bizarre. And as a Georgia fan I don’t care if people fear us or not. Even better if they don’t. Makes that beat down that’s coming to them easier.
Georgia is something like 51-3 and all those losses were all in championship games to Saban. And he is gone now. If that record doesn’t strike a little fear then people aren’t paying attention.

What we have learned from literally the Texas scholars is they throw things, have tantrums like 3 year Olds when things don't match their entitlement.

What I learned from the scholars from Georgia and aTm today on tRant: Lose by 15 to Georgia who played the best defense they will play all year while simultanously Texas could not have played worse offensively: That's a complete annihilation and blowout and embarrassing loss that is season ending. Beat MSU by 23 points or whatever it was-- that's not a blow out and we suck because we didn't win by 35.

Georgia had its foot on your throat the ENTIRE GAME

You didn’t pull away from State until the 4th quarter

Gator fan with nothing better to do because his team is horrible now and for the forseeable future.

Won't someone rid the SEC of these meddlesome priests?

Texas got exposed and humiliated. And even the refs couldn’t prevent that. And they really tried hard. Most bizarre calls I’ve ever seen.

FYI Florida is a charter member of the SEC. They may not be the most popular kid on the block but they are family. They belong and your team doesn’t.

This guy gets it.

Nobody fears Georgia, but it doesn't matter. Georgia just clocks in, goes to work, and clocks out with a W. They aren't flashy or electric, they are just solidly better than most everyone else. There is honor and valor in that.

Georgia is like John Stockton in the '90's. Nobody feared the guy, but he drove himself to the arena in his minivan, got out and whipped your tail on the court, then went home and played with his 14 kids and told dad jokes.

Sometimes it's actually better to not be feared, so quit melting (not you, but the GA fans who are crying about not being feared) over not being the Conan the Barbarian of the SEC. It's not your personality and that's fine, you still more-or-less win most times you play (except against Bama).

SEC fans won't agree. But it wasn't a good position for Texas to have to play Georgia right after the game in Dallas. Too much celebrating the Golden Hat for the winner of that game.

I do agree

I respect the Bulldogs and admit they have a great team. I wish them nothing but the best in the rest of the season. This is only a game and there are a lot more important things in life than one Saturday in October. Once again well done Georgia and hope to see you in both the SEC Championship Game and other games to follow. Cream rises to the top and until the bottom feeders on this board can have meaningful, constructive comments .

Hear, hear Old Horn.

I truly hope we get to rematch and redeem that horrible game plan and execution.

Only if you switch players first.

I wouldn't bet either way on a rematch. Only way Texas would have a chance is if the "good" version of Ewers showed up that actually sees the field and makes the reads he is supposed too.

Bad Ewers doesn't see wide open receivers running across the middle of the field for the 1st down because he's scared he is about to get hit and gets happy feet...Bad Ewers is messed up in his head and nervous...

Ewers is too bipolar and inconsistent. He would have to have a really good game for Texas to win, like he played against BAMA last year.

Not sure Arch is ready this year either for competition like Georgia offers...

Indeed it is. Those 3 losses to Bama in Saban coached championship games were epic games. Two came down to the last minute and under questionable calls. Tyler Simons is still onsides btw. And Bond didn’t make that catch. Check the film and photos.
The one true beat down was avenged a month later in the national championship game where UGA ripped out Bama’s heart.

I wouldn’t argue with him, it’s a waste of time. He thinks the only way you can get a first down is with a third down conversion.

We beat the team that beat you.

All you have beaten is a vastly overrated TX team.

I guess you are basing your comments on the fear UGA had of UT when we were beating you...what...9 in a row?
