Spurrier had been at SCAR 2 years before Saban was hired.

Yeah, we tried to hire him away.

The first 2 coaches we contacted were Spurrier and Saban. Saban wouldn't even take a call. Spurrier turned it down.

Then we were going to hire Rich Rod but it feel through at the last minute(thankfully).

Saban took the call after the Miami season was over and we hired him.

Hey -3 You forgot one.
Got your arse royalty kicked by Georgia.
And that -3? Wow! Even hired cupcakes have given Georgia more problems.
But enjoy your new title - what was that again? Oh yeah! Regular season SEC champs. Very creative. Manufacturing titles out of thin air is fun. Nothing like copying AU when your “dynasty” program is in serious decline.

Name the last season you had a winning record against Alabama, I'll wait.

So Saban’s second year at Alabama he would have been in the 12 team playoffs? So that would be a 50% rate right?

Yeah, everyone knows that. But not everyone agrees that Big LuLu’s Road Kill Taxidermy and BBQ Emporium is that great a source for awarding titles.

The past is past. And Bama is finally finding that out. That -3 should be more than enough proof, even to die hard Gumps, that the glory days at Bama are behind them.

No, they're not representative of Bama as a program. But a floor means what Bama is with the worst possible coach... not a mid-level guy.

Do you believe your performance the last two years with your pick from amongst the worst Bama coaches ever would be 9-4 in 2024 and 10-3 so far in 2025? Because I can think of at least 6 guys who coached SEC teams this year that would have coached bama to a worse record than that the last couple of years.

I think we're a worse team this season than last season even though we're in the playoffs.

What the -3 yards rushing tells me is that this offensive staff, including KD, isn't good. It's a bad scheme that hinges upon only elite QB play. KD needs to hire an OC outside of friends.

I don't remotely care about that stat.

In other words Bama has problems. Bama isn’t that good anymore.

Yes. You must not have seen my thread about I don't believe KD is a good coach b/c of the bad running game, his offense doesn't tailor itself to the individual strengths of his QBs, and he doesn't make adjustments. KD scripts up the start of games with the best of them but after that he doesn't have answers. It was only a matter of time before he scripted up an initial gameplan that Kirby would figure out from the start. And, that's why we got smashed in the SEC Championship. I don't think KD bounces back from that game.

So Georgia lost to a bad team at home this year?

We did. By 3 points. And we played like crap. But our young pups have grown up now and Bama saw the men they have become. The team Bama saw that day is an entirely different animal now.

Yes. After being hired following a losing season in 2006, Saban would have taken his team to a 4 team playoff once in his first two seasons

Deboer after being hired following a season in which Bama won the SEC and made a 4 team playoff... has made the 12 team playoff once.

Do you honestly view those as "about the same start?" Or can you just admit there's been a noticeable dropoff from Saban's performance?

Was pointing out both were at a 50% rate after year two. You seemed to want to make it sound like Saban was at 82% and KD is at 50% at their same time frame at Alabama.
