Michael Smith
@SmittySBJ
NEWS: CBS exits talks w/ SEC. College football's highest-rated package probably going to Disney. SEC will make $250M-$300M more per year from premium package of 15 games. That means a raise of close to $20M per school or more whenever the new deal begins

Only thing I will miss is the intro theme music. Otherwise who cares if we lose Gary.

To paraphrase the old Money Board saying:
The Sports TV rights market can be irrational longer than the networks can remain solvent.
The Mouse will eventually have 100% of the market. Wonder what they will do with it then?

Premium package? Don't know if I like the sound of that

It's inevitable.
We had better be careful what we wish for. Disney-ABC can be sky screaming SJW little bitches at times and once they have us under contract they own our asses.
Our league office will not stand up to them if push comes to shove.
