Brown grabs Jerome's jersey intentionally at 4.0, as instructed by Pearl (foul to give). No call. Another foul is called at 1.5.

Virginia should have had the ball at halfcourt with 4.0 left, but the refs screwed them out of 2.5 seconds of regulation by not calling the first foul.

The double dribble is irrelevant since it doesn't happen if the play is called correctly.

Yes, this deserves its own thread.

Double dribble isn’t the correct call. The correct call is a foul at 4.0. The refs did Auburn a favor.

Uncalled foul caused the double dribble.

Anyone blaming officials is a moron.

so many people disagree with you. I have yet to see or hear one person say it was not a double dribble. The former head of officiating said it was a double dribble.

His point is there was a foul before the double dribble. The double dribble should never have happened. The end.

Have you watched the video or are you just going off of the still?

Let's say it was called there. UVa has the ball ten feet on Auburn's side of the court with less than four seconds as opposed to eight feet on the O side of the court with 1.5. It didn't take him 2.5 to pick the ball up and then get fouled.

notice where the "grab" happened on the court

Given that the foul at 4.0 isn’t called, yes it’s a double dribble, yes, but the idea that this sequence cost Auburn the game is absurd. Had the sequence been correctly called, UVA in-bounds the ball at 4.0; the call on the court gave Auburn a better situation than that.

LINK Obvious foul at 0:00:12.

It is an undeniable fact that the refs did not screw Auburn.

There was no foul before the double dribble. He was just trying to dribble behind his back and it didn't work.

Brown grabbed his jersey intentionally so he could foul him. It’s a foul. You’re in denial if you disagree.

Auburn choked. The refs helped them, and they still choked.

None of those people said that that wasn’t a foul. You’re hurt. I’m sorry.

Considering the freeze frame is of both players after Jerome dribbled off his foot, that is not a foul. Can we get freeze frames of Harper getting fouled driving the lane since OP is in freeze framing mood.

No one is disputing the double dribble DA. The intentional fouled would should have been called therefore the DD never would have happened. Ball should have been an out of bound throw in for VA

Grabbing an opposing player’s jersey is a foul. It’s gonna be fun watching y’all try to pretend that AU got screwed. Y’all got helped by the refs and still choked.
