This might have been the best day in CWS history for an 0-1 team. Arkansas still in great shape to make finals.

Will McEntire has a World Series win on his resume, hasn’t thrown a pitch, and there are at least 3 guys on the staff better than him who also haven’t thrown a pitch in the World Series. Gibbler, Foutch, and Root are available. Gaeckle will probably be available if we reach a game 7.

LSU has seen Root twice already.

Root crippled us in BR (even though we walked off Arky(after he left)
And had a rough 1.2 in Omaha
If you don't think Root has the stuff to eliminate a tiger team without Anderson or Eyanson on the bump, then you need some introspection, not me.

I honestly think we are starting Biedelschies tomorrow and hoping we can get away with saving Root for Wednesday. May not work out but I think that will be the plan. Then Gaeckle for Thursday. And layer in all of our bullpen guys as needed.

If Root is available why do you think Eyanson is burned until Saturday? He threw like 40 pitches. Thus is the same guy who threw over 100 pitches in the regional and came back on Monday to throw 2 more innings.
The only arm “burned” for the next several days is Anderson
