I think its just stubbornness at this point. They dont want to backtrack on their decision. But man do they look stupid not playing when teams like South Alabama, Texas State, Georgia Southern, etc. are somehow managing

I'm hoping that losing a year gets rid of all the loser sports no one watches like men gymnastics, baseball and soccer so we can start paying football players a fair salary and a lump sum upon graduation. If football pays the bill so these white privilege sports can exist, then football players need to be paid to so.

I think you are right about that. They jumped the gun on shutting it down, too hasty on that ,imo. No need to make that decision when they did. If there is one thing the big ten doesn't want to do - is look silly. That train left the station, they look silly for shutting it down and now they will look even more silly for starting it back up.
I remember the article in USA Today written by Christine Brennan, a big tenner I believe, about the "smart schools" shutting down football. This was right after the big ten and PAC shut it down and the other three conferences decided to play. She was lamenting about Notre Dame and several other "academic schools" electing to play, after all those are "smart schools."

The president's of the universitys have scheduled another vote..this vote is to start the big 10 season in October.
If this happens,then how would that effect the CFP. Would they be eligible I wonder . By that time,based on them starting at the end of October, the sec could have already played 3 or so games ,4 for acc big 12 and 5 by the group of 5

If the SEC would have canceled the season, and other conferences played. That’s a reason to riot( I’m kidding). CFB is not a big deal out west, it’s not... so they can justify shutting it down. I think the Big 10 thought that the SEC/ACC would shut it down after they did. Well that blew up in there face. They are screwed in every aspect, recruits, fans, and most importantly financially! frick’EM!

The pac 12 is in a seperate situation, the reason they arent fighting to play ,besides being soy, sjw,and just all around black rimmed glasses wearing ,mouth open in selfies, douchebags, is because they can't play every game out of state. That's what it would take to have a season,considering the fact that it is illegal to play football there now . I don't know the specific rule or reason why ,but it's against a certain state law regarding covid in California
