The SEC's Big Six has now become the Big Eight.
Let's take a look at the new SEC Big 8 bluebloods and how they rank over the past 10 years (2011-2020), a reasonable amount of time to gauge how programs are faring overall.
#1...ALABAMA....127-12 (5 national titles won)
#2...OKLAHOMA...106-25 (4 CFP appearances)
#3...GEORGIA....102-31 (lost CFP championship 2017)
#4...LSU.........92-26 (1 national title)
#5...AUBURN......87-50 (lost BCS title game 2014)
#6...FLORIDA.....81-45 (0 CFP appearances)
#7...TEXAS.......78-60 (0 CFP appearances)
#8...TENNESSEE...60-62 (0 CFP appearances)
**Tennessee is going through the worst period of time in its history (2007-present). Until 2017, Tennessee was one of only 2 schools to have never had an 8-loss season in its football history (Ohio State was the other). So, we need to give their last 10 years a bit of perspective. However, as a Dawgs fans, I hope it continues. :)

A&M beats 6 of those teams today, for sure.
Potentially 7.
Certainly finished higher than 7 of them.

We literally beat 3 of those teams last year and finished ranked higher than 7.
I’m not talking about the 1940s.

Let’s face it. Tennessee’s 1997 and 1998 championship game titles were a fluke. Florida was rebuilding after losing Wuerffel.

You think you can beat Kansas State this year?

If we don't go to sleep again, yeah.
You think you can beat anybody in your league who's above .500 and not an 8-4 caliber team this year?

They lucked out on scheduling in 97. We beat their arse that year.
