As a baseball season ticket holder since 2000 I would like to go on record. LSU is light years ahead of SC in baseball in the time frame referred to in the OP! 6 natties is ridiculous not to mention the CWS appearances and tournament championships! In SC's defense it is light years ahead of 3rd, whomever that is!

LSU has 3 times as many championships as SC and double every other category basically.

Their domination in the 90's was UCLA in basketball-esque.

We have countless game, career, and Omaha records. Both for individual and team. We are the fricking reason they killed the bats.

We have gone downhill since the 90's and STILL got 2 more championships and made Omaha I think 5 times (not positive on that).

SC has killed it and congrats to them for the recent success, but it's really not close at all if we are talking 92 onward.

we should get props for basketball IMHO

Yall are the Texas of basketball. You should win a Title every 5 years. There's no excuse for LSU to suck this badly at basketball

Yeah well it wasn't too long ago when I was hearing

6 titles > 0 titles
6 titles > 1 title
6 titles > 2 titles

See a pattern? We're on our way.

I agree.

It's infuriating. We just don't have the in-state talent every year like we do for football though. It's a football state.

However had we gotten players like DJ Augustine, Greg Monroe, etc. it may be a different story I guess.

We don't have the proper funding or fan support either.

At LSU, Football is King and Baseball is Prince.

I can live with Florida at #1, but when we win on January 9th, it's going to be closer than "distant" second, it might be #1a.

I know what you mean. If Tennessee basketball could get all the in state players, we would have seen some loaded teams as well.

You should be able to recruit BR/NO and Houston and maybe go into MS and DFW if needed and win championships.

You need a top coach and a new stadium. I went to a game there 2 years ago and it wasn't very impressive

Disagree. LSU would be tied in national titles, but well behind in conference titles, wins, winning percentage, and consistency.

True, but we also survived the worst coach in school history for the first 3 years of that period, so, I'm giving us a little credit for that handicap.

We win on January 9th, I'll assert "close second" to Florida, since expansion, and third in history behind Bama and Tennessee.

Feel better?
