please go listen to some coaches and how they do their votes...most of them let someone else do it. They are wrapped up in their world and not the world of other teams across the country

Let's look at the losses of Bama and Ole Miss then. We lost to our best teams and they lost to trash. Sounds good.

both games were 7 and 8 weeks ago. You don't get to live on a 2 point win for 8 weeks. A lot of football happens

How is a 1-7 team being worse than two 3-5 teams confusing? If you're trying to split hairs to make a case for SC or OM, why sweep something like that under the rug? Also, both 'Bama's losses were on the road. OM lost at home.

You have to focus on losses because you can't focuses on their wins.
Both teams beat a team currently higher ranked than them in the SEC.

OM can barely handle State at this point. What are the metrics? How good you were 3 months ago. Definitely not what other sports use.

Like it or not, Bama has the conference tiebreaker over Ole Miss, and no team in the discussion has a loss as ugly as the Rebels' loss to Kentucky. You may not like it, but Bama will be ahead of both Ole Miss and USCe, so you may as well stop bitching about it.

Dude that doesn’t matter, ever.
just because a team starts 0-3 and finishes 9-3 doesn’t mean they deserve to be in. That 0-3 start has to factor. It’s in no way about “hottest” team.
SCAR isn’t even some scalding hot team. You beat an Aggy that will finish unranked, a Missouri without their starting QB, and a very average Clemson team. It’s not like you knocked off #2 Texas, #5 UGA and #6 Tennessee all in a row to finish the year
