The top SEC and Big-12 schools have refused to schedule SC. The athletic department has been pretty open about this. We've been setting up a home and home right now and they said they couldn't get any of the top Big-12 or SEC teams and will probably have to settle for Okie St, UK or possibly even Auburn again
I don't know how true this is, but until the PAC 10 starts giving USC some real week to week physical tests, I wouldn't play USC either.

I love how the fans and media make such a big deal out of traveling a far distance for OOC games. Pete Carroll himself said last week on Colin Cowherd's show that traveling distancedoesn't matter. A hotel is a hotel etc;.
Overall it's the total strength of schedule that matters - whether that comes in conference or out of conference is irrelevant.

Considering USC's non conference scheduling habits and LSU's non conference scheduling habits, I call complete utter bullshite as well.

LSU hasn't lost to the Pac 10 since 1978.

Why should the SEC schedule them? They have a schedule full of borderline bye weeks playing the round robin Slack 10 schedule. If LSU/Flordia/UGA, etc, could lead up to a USC game with Washington, WSU, etc, etc, they probably wouldnt mind. USC HAS to schedule OOC in order to be taken borderline seriously. The rest of the country can come to us...we dont need to go to them.
Also, love how this guy said UGA "squeaked" by Zona St. It looked like men against boys if I recall. Too bad Richt called off the dogs (as he does most of the time) or it would have been remembered as a slaughter.

Have lived in tha bay since the late 70's. NOBODY talks PAC-10 football here unless they are Trojans.

What gets me about bullshite articles like these are they NEVER mention that the SEC has the hardest conference games of any conference and we are still expected to go play strong OOC games. To me that just bullshite!
I wish we had the chance to beat ND every year like USC so we could say we have such a hard schedule of OOC games. WE SMOKED VT LAST YEAR FOR frick SAKES!
The SEC has the the best coaches from top to bottom of any conference. That's a fact not something to argue about!
Plus we play a conference championship game that damn near every year has two of the top ten teams in the nation.

I wonder if this dipshit has ever been south of the M-D Line except to go to Miami and sip appletinis in his capri pants with his "life partner". If your PAC-1 was worth a shite, why is half of it sitting at home during bowl season? It's easy to knock the SEC for a bowl loss, seeing as how we go to so many we are bound to lose 1-2.

The only reason that USC has to schedule tougher OOC teams is because their in conference schedule is so weak. If they had to play an SEC schedule they'd be scheduling North Texas and Tennessee-Chatanooga to.

Lsu played 5 teams that ended the 2007 season in the top 20 during the 2007-2008 season. SC played only one team that ended the year in the top 20!!!!!! Looking at the current standings, LSU is scheduled to play 3 top 20 teams next year - SC is scheduled to play only 1.
We also travel to the West Coast to play Wash in the season opener!! SC will play anyteam, anywhere - except of course, LSU or Florida. If you played a tougher schedule, - maybe the computers would put SC into the NC game (but that just won't happen).
