No, we don’t have hash and rice. Typically anything hash is like a breakfast item.
Sides for barbecue would include coleslaw, beans, baked potato, or just bread. Then you get the onions and pickles and jalapeños as desired. And yes, there is sauce, goes well with the bread and also in the beans.

A great hash ( not a liver hash though I'm good with it also) can make a restaurant in SC
Our sides are the same except I don't know what you use the onions or jalapeños for.

Not for me, I think it's gross. Love BBQ chicken though.
I don't know that we have a BBQ style. Growing up all I ever had was the Carolina style and I hated it. And anytime someone got married and you had to go to the rehearsal it seemed like that was always what they would cater with.
If not for getting to kiss all my cousins, I'd have hated weddings.

I like the Carolina style but it’s not my favorite. I can see why people don’t like it.
I’ve never had the white sauce, so I’ll quit making the jokes before the Aggies drown themselves drooling

It's basically mayo, lemon juice, vinegar and spices. Simple recipe.
I hate it, but my wife loves it. Usually puts it on her grilled chicken, while I stick with sweet baby ray's.
I count that as grilling rather than BBQ though.

When I was coming up in the 1960s I lived about 5 miles from the best pork barbeque on the planet, Fresh Air Barbeque near Jackson, Ga. In the mid 70s I lived in Bryan, Texas, and frequented all the beef bbq places in the area, and I loved it. Fact is Beef BBQ and pork BBQ are two different things, and thus not comparable. Like I said, I can't get enough of either.

Our towns festival is tonight and tomorrow morning until 2pm. Ridgeway, it's straight up I77 from the stadium 30 minutes away. Tonight is street dance and chicken bog. Tomorrow morning is the States largest bbq competition. Come eat then still time to tailgate.

You put them on your tray and eat them whenever you feel like it

I've only seen it in Alabama and it sucks

Here's a secret. Chick-fil-A sauce is a combination of Alabama white sauce and Kc style bbq sauce like sweet baby rays. If you don't believe me, mix the two and find out for yourself.

And those festivals sound like a solid pre-game weekend lineup

This statement alone is disqualifying. If you are bragging about your sauce you have already lost.
If you can't appreciate the delicious perfection of good barbecue sauce then maybe the rest of us were wrong to save you from Mexico in the first place.
Nothing wrong with BBQ sauce but if the BBQ is dependent on being covered in sauce it's not elite BBQ. Elite BBQ has to be able to stand on it's own and then add the sauce if you want.

Same here. I prefer pork ribs, sausage links, and brisket when I fire up the pits at home.

please clarify which are you talking about - pulled pork bbq or something else - that you prefer to beef brisket.
Pulled pork>brisket

Brisket isn't bbq. It's a add on order like ribs.
