I'm going to assume that Jenny started first grade in September of 1950, when she was five and Forrest was six (no kindergarten back then in Alabama). That means they graduate high school in May 1961. Forrest is a freshman at Alabama for the fall of 1961, but he can't play because he is a freshman, right? That means that his only home game vs. GT is in 1963. So here's a minor flaw in the movie. The All-America team, I believe, was greeted by the President in December. Kennedy was assassinated in November.
Damn, what a shitty, shitty movie.

Did you notice in his TD run as he out ran everyone, the referee kept running along beside him on the side lines and keeping up with Gump all the way.......?
