Squeeze Bama? You act as if Bama is and has been reluctant to pay the man what he deserves or wants. Without the Texas rumors, very likely Saban would have gotten a raise this year.

And I'm pretty sure that was the angle that AU's AD was using when he called AU "America's team."

Well then get up there and compete. Bama's not going anywhere as long as CNS is in charge. Vegas still has us favored over every school in the country, TODAY. Nick is also putting together what may be his best recruiting class yet. And that's on top of #1 classes for the last 3 years. You want to do something about it? Your lazy coach needs to get better. CNS is a great coach. Maybe the best of all time. But that doesn't mean you can't compete with him year in and year out. Les Miles does it. Nick ain't backing down because everyone else sucks. Come on damnit. We want better competition.

Why do you Bama guys even read these threads? Why even come to the coaching changes board? Y'all say y'all are tired of hearing this every year, then stop coming over here and looking. And to the ones that say its funny that it's LSU fans starting it all, how do you think that the rumors that the best coach in the nation leaving isn't national news? You guys want everyone to bow down and say he's the best, but then you don't want the negative pub for it when this kind of stuff happens. No doubt he is the absolute best coach and there's not a close second. That alone is the reason this is news every year

Coaching vacancies/changes have the potential to affect all of us - we have 2 very high profile coordinators, 3 if you count Frank Wilson - all of whom could be in consideration for various HC or lateral positions.

I haven't seen any of their names mentioned with a job. Meanwhile our head coach is the talk of the board and our offensive coordinator was a candidate for the washington head coaching job and numb nuts had the audacity to ask why a bama fan would be on this board. I was just pointing out the absurdity of that question. I realize everyone isn't like that, i'm just calling out the potatos as I come across them

For most of us tide fans the Terry Saban comments a month ago in the WSJ ("We're retiring here") pretty much trumps any rumors until we see CNS at some other school's podium. We just like to read all the crazy chatter. Its funny seeing what you guys can come up with.
