Seems they might be owed some damages plus what they paid him. His timing after other players have already started committing to new teams means Washington is way late to the game in trying to replace him. At some point there are going to have to be some rules enforced, if you signed a contract then it should be enforceable. Like someone said before, these aren't amateurs anymore, if pro's must honor a contract then so should these players.

We found out when Kelly was fired that all LSU fans are contract lawyers.

Poor Brian Kelly is not getting a buyout. Nothing at all. Poor guy.

Too bad they can’t legally do that. Uhh oh

Seems like a courtroom is needed to determine that one.

15 of the 20 top qbs in the portal have already committed to new teams, the talent pool is no where near where it would have been if he declared for the portal on the day he signed his contract.

Huh it’s almost like Washington could’ve gotten ahead of this

I’m still not sold on him going to LSU yet though

Sounds like they did by making their starting qb an offer good enough that he signed a contract with them before the portal was open. Silly them thinking a signed contract meant something.

Looks like you pissed off a bunch of coonasses. All you did was give them facts. I think there’s a deeper problem with these folks. It’s not you WildcatMike, it’s the fact that Lane Kiffin is not the savior they thought he was going to be. Is there even a quarterback on the roster at all right now? They’re giving him bonuses with every Ole Miss win, and they don’t even have a quarterback on the roster.

Order of things that has happened since the hiring of Kiffin

Lose to conference USA team in bowl and watch the new coach leave at halftime. He couldn’t be bothered to watch the second half. Had yoga class

Watch mass exodus of talent leave

Pay Kiffin bonuses for every Ole Miss win. Bonuses could exceed over a million dollars

Get turned down repeatedly while trying to lure quarterbacks away from other programs.

I’m probably missing a few things, but you can see why they’re upset

Never stated that. I stated that courts adapt and change precedent all the time. And a lot of times it strikes down fully or partially LAWS. What you are not grasping is the grow sound of disapproval from universities over the wild west that has become the NCAA and it's going to get reined in sooner or later.

It’s always fun when lay people argue legal matters with actual attorneys. You’ve been doing it with at least 2 for thus entire thread but were apparently the guys not grasping what is going on
