I coached HS baseball for almost 30 years. One of my favorite kids I ever coached started feeling bad before the season started for his senior season.

He loved La Tech and wanted to play there….and was good enough to do it.

Within a few weeks of starting to feel badly he was diagnosed with a brain tumor that was eventually found to be cancer.

He lived two years before it took him from us.

He wasn’t just a great player, he was a great teammate. In all my years of coaching I’d never seen a kid so vested in seeing his teammates succeed.

I put that Tech logo up when I first joined TD back in 06 as a tribute to him.
