Not for life. But until he graduates high school, he is going to be reminded of this often.

He is getting what he needs to fix his miserable little attitude. The universe is generous in that regard. I can remember growing up and getting an arse whipping for crying over something unimportant like a fricking game. You cry over real loss (people, limbs maybe) but not over a game. Yeah we enjoy the game (I know I do win or lose) but nobody here cries over a fricking game. I hope.

Boom. End of discussion.

Yeah and this. Btw, if the guy on the left was his dad, he looked annoyed and not happy about it.

You're assuming that this kid's parents are like your parents were. His dad was probably crying as much as he was.

Yeah, hitting a child is the appropriate response. How manly.

At about his age in 1985, I threw my dinner across the room during the Iron bowl in a hissy fit. My Dad sent me to my room and I missed the entire second half and the last second field goal to beat Auburn. Now, I heard it on my radio, but it is not the same. I never lost my temper over a football game again in my life. This kid will get ridiculed and he will probably never cry in public again over a football game. And he will be a better man for it. Because we all know there is no crying in football!
