Y'all probably couldn't afford to pay him. But you're just hopeless if you think for a second somebody associated with MSU wasn't going to shell out some money if the Newton's said they would 100% go there if they got paid.

I seem to remember the agreed upon story being that Cecil was contacted by MSU boosters who then offered money asking how much it would take to secure Cam. That means he didn't go out shopping, he was propositioned . Just to be clear since you seem to have trouble with the written word.

That's just sad
Not to mention an athletic department consists of more than just the big 3 sports, and your AD is not close to ours overall.

Auburn's recruiting budget and total revenue more than double MSU's and yet you poor mfers can't separate from us. Your history against us is slanted due to the fact that Auburn didn't leave the state of Alabama to play MSU until 1950 and that MSU went from 1953-1978 without an on campus home game against the Tigers.

And the 200+ overall wins... And the 28 consensus All-Americans... And the 21 bowl games.... And all the draft picks, Heismans, weeks ranked... Oh, and the thing that determines team succes, the championships.
