Why would you leave Notre Dame for LSU? That’s like leaving Florida State for College Station.

Woof... Orgeron is pure Louisiana at his core.
Kelly is like the furthest thing possible opposite of what Louisiana culture is

Playing against mostly ACC Competition.
A bit different from going up against Auburn, Alabama, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Arkansas with Florida every year.

I kinda put him at the same level as Les Miles.
Kelly last 5 seasons: 54-9
Riley last 5 seasons: 55-10
Unfortunately he has only played about 10 good teams.

Solid coach and solid hire
It’s not “splash”
But LSU doesn’t need a splash hire, it needs a sold AF coach and Kelly is just that.

He won't equal that over the next five years in the SEC. Enjoy, Brian Kelley, coaching in an actual conference.
If there was one dude that could actually make LSUs recruiting fall off - this is the guy. Or Belichik. You get the point.
This is a terrible hire, if true. Absolutely an awful fit. Hell - Stoops would have been better than this.

Les Miles was from Ohio. Nick Saban was from West Virginia. Both won titles at LSU. Urban won at Florida despite being a yank. Where did this narrative come from?

Its not a narrative - my point is that LSU straight did a complete 180 culture wise

And Oklahoma has beaten 10 good teams? I’d be willing to bet ND has more top 25 wins in that time period lol.

Missouri fans laughing at winningest coach in ND history

Probably a good thing. Ya know the whole covering up rape thing?

Because Miles and Saban were both working class and blue collar. Kelly is anything but approachable.
This is not a good pick for LSU. Not one bit. This won't work.

Probably needs to happen. Not sure if Kelly is going to be the right answer but the “he’s one of us” bullshite needed to change
