I don’t think Auburn has ever attempted to rollout our own network claiming to take our brand global. I also don’t remember Auburn ever refusing to play another P5 team. I do remember us winning 1 national title and playing for another in the last decade. In my mind, that makes Auburn significantly more relevant than Texas. So, go frick yourself.

I never said WVU or Baylor are any kind of powerhouses, but at least WVU came very close to winning a NC once in our lifetime. A&M hasn’t. The point was that adding A&M to a pretty weak Texas home schedule wouldn’t add much in terms of actual accomplishments by opponents.
Oh and A&M spent years in that same weak Big 12 and on field results were pretty much the same as they are in The SEC: mediocre.

True, Baylor and WV have been much better than A&M in recent memory. Mizzou is pretty similar, but it would be in favor of MU if not for the shitstorm I'd reckon

Wrong! Bama has every reason for wanting to play GA. tech. However, they don't want to play us! Pepper Rodgers was coaching GT and Bama smacked them pretty hard back to back. So bad that he had the board of recent and the A.D. cancel all future games against the tide. Albeit, the couple at Bama had to be played because GT didn't want to pay the buyout price. Bill Curry the current coach @ GT. when the final game against Bama was played stated, "we just don't have a prayer against these guys and it's better to end our rivalry against them and stop playing them for now. Perhaps in the foreseeable future we can reschedule them."

Partner, I’m a native Texan who was raised on Longhorn football. I’ve lived a lifetime of disappointment rooting for the Longhorns. Hell, I sat my arse in the Cotton Bowl and watch them beat Bear Bryant 14-12. I saw Earl Campbell score 2 touchdowns against Rice in less than seconds.
I did my undergrad at Auburn and rooted for the Longhorns as my second favorite up until the day I saw Mack Brown on TV talking about how Auburn didn’t deserve to play USC for the title in 2004. He said OU was the better team ...the one that had their assess handed to them in national television. The ineptitude of BIG 12 football was on display for the entire world to see. You probably remember that undefeated 2004 Auburn team don’t you?
