Texas has a weak schedule but I don't fault them for it. They joined the SEC plus scheduled the defending national champs on the road in non conference. You can't ask any more of them, but the weak schedule will have to be considered if they lose the only quality games on their schedule.

Many years ago Alabama played 1 extra SEC game than all other SEC teams. Helped win the conf championship a few times.
