Georgia is a win.

Georgia can't score enough points to beat Texas

Not much on my mind other than the RRS Saturday. I am optimistic but I would be lying if I didn't admit the Horns have received the short end more recently than not.

I think running back is an area for worry, and I think Sark will place the bulk of the game onto the shoulders of the wideouts. Signs that Texas is doing well if more than 4 players outside of the quarterbacks have a rushing stat. Conversely, if Hawkins from OU get more than 3 rushes of 15 years or more, it's a bad sign for UT.
I am more interested in the UT defense than the offense. It will be interesting to see how they perform.

Sark has done a good job of covering up injuries and I expect he will continue to do so. Texas will win but Oklahoma will keep it close.

Just last year Texas #3, OU #12

There's been speculation whether Texas will spy Michael Hawkins or just play OU straight up and rely on the right play to account for him depending on situation. If the latter, then it means the DCs have become very confident in their linebackers. I would expect Texas to be in a 4-2-5 most of the game unless OU does something really unexpected with their formations.

OU will probably get Burks back from injury who is their leading receiver. Same with another WR named Anthony. This is good news for them since they have shown difficulty stretching the field. Texas' secondary is much improved over past seasons however.

I haven't watched much Oklahoma football but I know they have had their struggles at WR. I thought they were lucky to beat Auburn.

I think the only way Texas loses this game is if they are looking ahead to Georgia.

I think there is a decent chance that Texas goes into College Station undefeated to play a 1-loss Aggie team. With the time gap since we have played, and since both teams would be highly ranked, this is arguably the most important game ever played at Kyle Field.

Is Texas a lock to win? Of course not.

Still, ask yourself, since WWII, how has aggie football done in super huge games with national championsjip implications hanging in the balance?

Also, Texas is exponentially better than ND.

Paxton Thorne throwing a pick 6 near the end of the game was the difference for OU winning. You probably know Auburn dominated TOP in that game despite the OU defense being very good by most opinions.

Texas has more weapons than Auburn did, so I am optimistic if Ewers can avoid the dumb turnovers he had in last year's game.

A&M looked very impressive with Mizzou. The Tigers were never a threat after the first series.

Ewers will take care of the business. Nothing flashy but he keeps calm and runs the offense as well as any QB in CF.

I was surprised by Missouri. I do not know if we are that good or if they are that bad. One thing is for sure Elko has this team playing to its potential so far.

Texas will be the favorite and will have the advantage of player familiarity with the system. They should have a better passing game while we will be better at rushing. I also think we have the better defense. Unfortunately for us, the modern game favors the offense.

The past means nothing to the current situation.
