It was middle of the season and you were ranked 2 going against a ranked sec team in their house. That is part of the playoff in the sec. At least it feels that way in the west.

Well it turns out that none of the teams that played in the Sugar Bowl last year were good enough to make the playoff, including and especially the Georgia Bulldogs.

I thought you meant Texas. LSU was a fluke win also. They played better that day. Look at common opponents and we were clearly better.

I cannot bask in any glorious Texas fandom as there really is nowhere to go. I am not paying 10 bucks a month to listen to Texas no it all chodes spew their bullchit. This is the place to be, great game day threads, knowledgeable football takes and a bunch of good old fashion ribbing.
If I wanted sunshine pumper bullchit I guess I could alter again over at surlyhorns but they would just call me an aggy and downvote me into oblivion because I didn't like the defensive alignment with three down linemen.

Texas claiming they own UGA after a game UGA couldn’t care less about reminds me of when Stoops wouldn’t shut up about OU owning the SEC and Bama after they beat Bama the game after Kick 6. Yeah Stoops, Bama players really wanted to be there

I am afraid the op doesn’t realize yes they did kick UGA arse.... but they also took the foot off the pedal late. From what I saw last year they had more than enough defense to beat Georgia and Oklahoma. Say what you want about Sam E. This game fits right up there with what he does well. He moved the ball vs UGA also.

Again why on earth would UGA not be thrilled with being in the second best bowl they have played in 20 years last year... you act like other than playing for the national championship one year they have been some juggernaut. They got their asses exposed.
