At this point I cannot say anything about how Oklahoma will fare in conference play.
However, I can post some historical information.
Oklahoma All-Time vs SEC Opponents
The first number is games played, followed by OU wins then losses and finally ties. (Someone explain to the young uns about those)
Alabama 6 3-2-1 For now at least, OU has a winning record vs. the Tide.
Arkansas 15 10-4-1 Unfortunately one of those 4 cost OU a National Championship.
Auburn 2 2-0 Maybe this is the year they break through against OU.
Florida 2 1-1 Another loss of a National Championship. If only DeMarco Murray had been able to play. . .
Georgia 1 0-1 Heckuva a game, too bad the Sooners couldn't win in OT.
Kentucky 3 2-1
LSU 3 1-2 That last one was their National Championship run.
Mississippi 1 0-1 Another team OU has yet to beat.
Mississippi State Have yet to play them.
Missouri 96 67-24-5 An old conference foe, some classic games in the series.
South Carolina Another team OU has yet to play but will meet them this year.
Tennessee 4 3-1 Aah, that latest one, Baker Mayfield brings OU back from down 14 in the 4th to win in OT, what a game!
saxet 119 51-63-5 Whorns still feel the sting from Dillon Gabriel leading OU to the winning score last year.
aTm 31 19-12 Ever see a score of 77-0?
Vanderbilt 3 2-0-1 I must not have been born when did Vandy and OU tied.
So for now OU has won 59% of all games vs SEC opponents. We'll see what happens.

Yep. When I think of intimidating environments… Iowa State, Texas Tech, and Kansas State immediately come to mind right along with Baton Rouge, Auburn, and Knoxville. WOW.
Ironic, most fans outside of the SEC don’t think of Auburn and Tennessee as tough places to play.
It is hilarious how much effort you all put into the “SEC fandom”. Reality is most of the time the better team is going to win. Upsets happen all the time, it’s college football. Rarely is home field advantage any more than a 3 point swing in betting lines.

You can think what you want...
Those places are rough when teams like Oklahoma and Texas play there.
You guys took exception to the fact that Ewers said that Texas would be every SEC team's big game. So apparently Texas and Oklahoma are going to get run of the mill crowd responses from SEC crowds.
Well, in the Big XII... Texas WAS Texas Tech's big game. Oklahoma WAS Oklahoma State's big game. K State and Iowa State? Completely jacked for OU, Texas AND each other.
Even then I never said that they were as tough as SEC crowds. Just that they were way tougher than you are willing to give them credit for certain games.
And although you are making excuses... People on the Rant did say that Texas couldn't handle the SEC environment in Tuscaloosa.
And finally... yes, we've heard the SEC "close game" thing ad nauseum as well. But the top teams always seem to get that W each week.
