Have you ever said anything negative about an Oklahoma fan or the Oklahoma team?
Unlike the other games on our schedule, that’s a game you never want to miss. There are no other potential wins on the schedule that yield as much joy
And we can see how jealous that makes the rest of y’all

Oh wow, you guys scream OU sucks??
Take it easy on them!!

Are we supposed to have a cult rally every night around them, sing entire songs about them and build unsustainable bonfires around them too?
He asked a question and now you’re interjecting yourself because you don’t like the answer
Given the fact that OP started another thread begging for people to be nice to a&m yesterday, I’m starting to realize this is your alter and you’re just talking to yourself at this point

As a guy that’s lived in north TX for a long time and has many friends and family members with all 3 schools, I will say Texas and OU guys I know are much more cordial and have a mutual respect because both are blue bloods and major brands.
They both can’t stand Aggies because they act like they belong at the adults table since they have a massive endowment and unlimited resources.
I will say all of my Aggie buddies are obsessed with Texas and talk nonstop about them.
Texas and OU are definitely rivals. The Cotton bowl scene is still the best scene in CFB IMO.
Also, Joe C at OU(AD) and Del Conte at Texas are very good friends and talk weekly. Zero chance in hell the Aggie AD would ever do that

This story of A&M being horn and OU’s most hated enemy, and trolling all day together as lovers in every thread is getting old. It’s almost sad to acknowledge trolling from either one of you bc I feel embarrassed for you guys. tRant is starting to notice you guys are gay for each other, like we warned then you guys would be. Image if LSU and Ole Miss fans started butt fricking each other with respect, compliments, and God’s wrath at anyone that disrespects their honor. Bc that is what you guys are doing and it’s cringy af. We are telling you the loyalty, respect and love you guys have for one another is the Brokeback Mountain of rivalries in sports history probably. That’s some Greeks having orgies after sporting events type shite instead of drinking and fighting.

I have seen several fights between Horns and Boomers at the State Fair after the TX-OU game.
You are an ignorant idiot that worships male cheerleaders and corps turds smacking each other's arse....Red arse much?

You mean the obvious Aggie alters pushing their narrative because they desperately want to be our main rival? 99.9% of posters here couldn’t give two shits about Texas and Oklahoma’s rivalry or how the fan bases interact on this message board.

They are lovers. When they first joined the conference, having no association with any Texas or Oklahoma fans previously, I imagined there would be some antagonism between the fan-bases.
This isn't so; they love each other with a burning passion. It is very difficult to find a Texas fan criticizing Oklahoma or vice-versa on this site.
Rivalries clearly don't mean the same thing to people from that area of the nation as they mean to old SEC affiliated people. To Texans and Okies, I'm starting to think that they think that the word rivalry means to be subservient to one another and to ingratiate themselves with each other to a nauseating degree.
This coming from a fan of a conference full of leg humpers who act like school girls at Elvis' Ed Sullivan Show whenever one of their conference mates achieves anything.

Yep, that’s true. But they see your fans hoping to God that OU would’ve beat A&M in the Cotton Bowl. And they saw the sadness from y’all when OU lost.

Ho lee sheet, this game is brought up so often you'd think it was yesterday.

Texas vs OU is a rivalry between brands that are pretty much the same, so therefore the struggle is for superiority.
Texas vs A&M is a rivalry between people that are pretty much the same, so therefore the struggle is for superiority.
One is personal, one is not.

I know that this thread is 90% trolling but I will provide my honest assessment on it.
First, Sooner fans do not think that they are the leaders of the pack in the SEC. That is absurd. Just like every fan base we have a few that like to talk trash.
Texas fans and Texans in general, do have some weird superiority complex all rooted in the fact that their state occupies a land area that should be 3-4 states.
As far as how OU and UT fans interact here, you have to realize we are both the new kids in town. If we at times come together on this board it is simply due to that fact and it will only be temporarily. We do hate each other and that will be evident soon enough.
Imagine if Florida and Georgia decided to leave their conference and go to another conference together. Imagine that conference being tougher from top to bottom. Both Georgia and Florida would be confident in their programs and history and they might rally behind each other as they move on.
And, yes, I think OU and TX do share a hate of A&M and to a lesser degree Missouri. As an OU fan, I never gave either much thought but both are like the kid who got his arse beat in over and over on the playground, took his ball to a new neighborhood, and proceeded to talk about how he can now kick the old kids arse. That is annoying to say the least.
What is most hilarious about this is that A&M thought they had won a championship or something by taking their ball and leaving. What they didn’t know, and what I repeatedly told them the last decade, is that their big brothers were never going to be rejected by the SEC. Both OU and Texas could have joined basically whenever they wanted. Everyone knew that except delusional Aggies.

As an Aggie, I root for OU to beat Texas.
That’s how you know where the rivalry is.
Simple as that.

That is the dumbest thing ever posted on tRant. Hell would freeze over before they “rally behind each other”. That’s not a rivalry.

No shite, you aren’t Oklahoma’s rival. And Texas fans rooting for OU over TAMU do it because they understand that OU will get theirs from the state. They don’t want TAMU winning and gaining mindshare that will eat into our ability to recruit. 1 rival being up is better than 2. It ain’t rocket science.
Posted on 8/21/24 at 8:48 am to AGGIES
And Texas fans typically root for A&M when they play OU. But it’s funny to see either lose, and more often OU had a lot more to lose while A&M’s season was usually already in the dumpster by the time they played (hasn’t a&m only had one 10-win season since the 90s?)

That's not entirely the reason.
Put Stanford on a spectrum. Put OU on a spectrum. Now put Texas on the same spectrum. Which school is Texas closer to?
There's the reason you don't want to see.
