Both schools have much to offer the SEC. There are a lot of tv sets in the St. Louis/K.C. area, and a even more throughout Texas. Aggie fans are very loyal to their school, great tradition. A&M's history is alot like LSU's.

From a cultural and passion standpoint, WVU would be a great addition as a school
they have decent fan interest but:
academics: no
athletics: meh
market: absolutely not
rivalries w/sec: none

Anyone who wants Georgia Tech is a brain dead imbecile. Those schools add NOTHING to the SEC. NOTHING. We already have their TV markets
ga tech does not add "nothing". atl is a huge, huge city and just because we "have" georgia doesn't mean we "have" atl. adding ga tech could add ALOT to the sec. above average athletics, EXCELLENT academics, rivalries, geography. not to mention they were a member for several decades. they're a natural fit and actually bring quite a bit to the sec.

"A&M's history is alot like LSU's"

I'd like to see this comparison. Are you talking in the last year or what?

He means the university. Not the athletics. Land grant schools. Military history. Etc.

ETA: do you know how I know you didn't attend LSU

A&M with Clemson or FSU

+2, keeping it in the South. Natural, longstanding rivalries. Similar culture. Missouri just does not make sense.

Not gonna happen...ever. Plus, they can't even sell out their games. The fact that they left the SEC already in the past burned all bridges most likely.

I want A&M. We need a team we can consistently beat up on every year.

Despite what you think you know ATL is still dominated by Georgia. UGA is the #1 team there and GT has to compete with Bama and AU. So no, you add nothing with GT. They had their chance. They cowered away. They add nothing. You look foolish.

as has been said several times, that was a long, long time ago. things change

as far as attendance, i bet it would pick up when bama or auburn rolls into town

as i stated, they bring natural rivalries, they are geographically convenient and they are a great academic institution so you can stop with the "they bring nothing".

as for tv market, tech is a popular school in georgia. if the sec does fine in alabama with two sec schools, there's no reason to think the same couldn't work in georgia

About Memphis joining...

No way would the SEC take them. Hell, Memphis doesn't even have their own stadium and the one they play in is so antiquated it would be better if it were blown up.

ATL is already locked up and it's not even close. UGA and AU have by far the majority of fans there. Then Kentucky, UT and SC have a shite ton. All SEC schools are well represented in ATL. Fans of SEC schools probably take up 80% of the market there, leaving 20% for GT.

The SEC already dominates GA markets. You're adding very little and basically watering down and diluting the SEC schools payouts. They add nothing. Academics are it.

Let's put it this way, GT is so pathetic UGA fans buy GT season tickets just for UGA @ GT.

So you think what you want but they add nothing but a GOA boost and a way to dilute the conferences accomplishments

Exactly. The extent of GT's "fan base" is essentially their current students, and they don't seem to be too interested in actually doing things that fans usually do like attend games.

I saw more confederate battle flags in Missouri than in Mississippi in a recent road trip.

We already have THE team in Georgia. We don't need another one. If anything, we need to look to replace Vanderbilt with UNC or NC State.

Georgia Techs academics mean absolutely shite when talking about their athletic prowess. We are an Athletic conference, not an Academic conference. Besides, those Big Ten schools are supposedly so smart yet they can't win for shite and even when they break rules to win, they get caught.
