They paid a lot, so it was a great hire.

Real answer that this thread doesn't deserve:
It is certainly disheartening to see a Florida St. team he just left fall to pieces, but there is enough going on there that anyone looking at it with nuance can see it might be different for A&M.
First big difference is its obvious the OL Jimbo left behind is easily the worst part about his legacy there. At FSU Jimbo's OL coach was garbage, and over time that sunk the program. The difference with A&M is we already had an elite OL coach ready for him here so he didn't have to bring over any garbage coaches, and unlike FSU we will pay top dollar to replace a guy if one of his other hires turns out to be garbage.
The other side of this of course is: how shitty of a coach is Taggart? In an article this offseason of most overrated and underrated coaches he was named the most overrated one in the country by far, and we don't know how much of FSU's decline is simply the fact that it is finally their turn to hire a shitty coach and have a decade of shitty football that all top programs can't eventually avoid.
We will see, but there are reasons to both be fearful and hopeful.

Doesn't matter. Jimbo will be laughing all the way to the bank with his $75M while putting shite on cruise control to some pretty stellar 7 and 8 win seasons.

You shouldn't post your real picture here. It isn't safe.
