If I were Alabama, I would drop kick the BS titles and just go with the "8" that are widely recognizd. That is still impressive. It would be like a fella with an 8 inch member claiming a foot and change. John Holmes you aint!

I'm okay with what Bama does. Other teams do it, why shouldn't they? They only get called out because they have the most. I wish the NCAA would clear it up, but they can't, seeing as they don't actually award the titles.

I understand completely because I've lived around rival fans before and trust me I know how it goes.
But from what my Auburn friends tell me, they do claim 5 titles and he even showed me in one of the media guides. However, according to Wikipedia (I know it's not a legit source) they only award themselves with 1957.
And please substantiate that quote our famous coach said. I hear it all the time, but I can never find proof other than ITAT or Auburn Undercover.
Besides, all six of his titles came from either the AP or UPI. So I don't understand why he'd make that statement...

Idk...they only place I have ever saw it comes from this website and aunation.net....

Again, what's wrong with 1938. The AP wasn't the only poll that mattered.
