Probably our best position coach is leaving. Not 100% sure if it was a firing or Baggett's decision to leave.

More than likely it was Baggett's decision. Jumping off of a sinking ship.

That sucks... Maybe you should just throw 20 million a year at Saban and see what sticks?

That's why it is being speculated that it was his decision. But who knows with Dooley?

It is being referred to as a "retirement" and it was always understood to be a short-term deal. But Vol fans do love to panic.

Because he got injured once in his life on a freak play?

It's being called a "retirement". Rumors are that he felt left out of offensive gameplanning. Will be targeted by many schools. I expect him to end up coaching somewhere.

Word is that the O-Line coach (Hiestand)will be next to go. It is expected soon.

Tony basilio also just tweeted that Defensive Coordinator Justin Wilcox has called a meeting with his players this evening. He may be gone as well.

any chance that Orange Pants gets fired just as a result of his entire team quitting in the last game of the year and most of his coaching staff quitting on him?

If the rumors of Da'Rick being a Da'Dick are true (and my MIL said the father of a player called in to The Drive yesterday and pretty much substantiated the rumors) I could see Baggett getting fed up with it and leaving, especially if the bossman wouldn't do anything about it.

Are what they say true about his players dressing him down and disrespecting him?

Baggett was at odds with other members of the coaching staff and Dooley. Any rumors about him being pissed at players are untrue.

Baggett was the best coach on the staff. He leaves on his own. Another nail in Dooley's coffin.

EDIT: If Wilcox leaves, we might as well scrap the whole staff. Also, if Thompson goes to UAB HC gig. Those would be three of our four best staff members. There is no way Dooley could survive that. Who wants to join the staff for one year.

Tenn has been hit with the Cajun curse since the second half of 2001 SECCG game 12/8/2001.
it'll be 10 year anniversary in a week. Cajun curse will finally be lifted.

Yeah, no way Dooley fired his best assistant coach.

If he did, he is dumber than i thought.
