Tennessee vs Kentucky rivalry trophy

Yeah its that week.
I'm aware that the trophy was dropped after a fatal accident involving drunk driving.
Just curious as to if there's any interest to bring it back or some other trophy(even though our performance in this rivalry has been poor to say the least).I know the barrel used to say "Ice Water" on the side as well, so if they wanted to bring it back but not have the alchohol connection they could do that, though it may still be viewed in bad taste
Also kinda wonder where it is at UT

Kentucky and Tennessee should play for a trophy that doubles as a map of all the subterranean meth labs in the two-state region.

So basically a copy of the boot?

Yeah, pretty much.
You guys should do an outline of all the states between Louisiana and Minnesota to the North. With Tennessee and Kentucky attached on to the side. It's the chicken platter outline. Then, you plate Tennessee and Kentucky in gold and call it good.
The trophy shall weigh 7,000 pounds.

You guys should give them a barrel of Maker's Mark if they win and they should give you guys a barrel of Jack Daniels if ya'll win.

Then they are back to the same problem that got the old trophy removed.
I liked the barrel trophy, shame it went away.
Trophy was still at Tennessee a few years ago, I know people who redid the AD offices. I doubt we will ever see it again.

Ya know, my middle school history teacher told me once that, the states from Louisiana to Minnesota form a chef when looked at alone.
Going off of that and your idea, it looks a little obscene

I've wanted to bring it back for years. It made sense to give it time after the accident happened before the game but it's been far too long.
Our states are known for whiskey and bourbon production. It's hypocritical af to get upset over a beer barrel trophy.

Oh, I thought it was removed because the "ice water" label insulted everybody's intelligence. I thought maybe we could just cut to the chase.

I'd be cool with that

No. They only wrote "Ice Water" on it during Prohibition. That trophy survived Prohibition but couldn't survive MADD's lobbying.

I agree, its been too long.
They need to bring it back, even if its at Tennessee most of the time

The churches wouldn't be cool with it. But you the fans should make one on one bets, I bet many already do. Like a bottle of JD single barrel is about as good as Maker's Mark.

Hard to imagine but with our OL being in a perpetual state of shite since Dooley's skipped an OL recruiting class started to bite and Butch 'solving' that by recruiting slow, unathletic AND tiny linemen you'd probably get it a few more years.
I expect you'll run all over us Saturday.

Tennessee finally passed wine in grocery stores AND Sunday liquor sales and it was done by 'church' republicans. The churches have lost this battle.
I think the biggest obstacle to it now is binge drinking on college campuses. I'm all for us going all out with Tennessee Whiskey/Kentucky Bourbon Barrel tho.

I don't. Our offense has been very poor to say the least, and, its in Neyland.
Last time we won there was 1980. Doesn't matter how good we are, Tennessee seems to find a way to win.
But if we win, maybe its a good sign for Georgia

We lost our best player at our biggest position of need. Our OL couldn't block your grandmother. As for defense, literally everyone has been able to run on us this year (they're better than last year but that's not saying much).
