Our offense plays to potential, with much better run production. Defense will struggle, but Offense puts up enough points to win some of the "toss-up" games. Vandy and Kentucky will be big wins just to put the little brother schools back in their place!

Yeah, it really is a toss up, I guess I was surprised to see it get penciled in as a W from Jerry.
It's not that far fetched upon closer examination.

CBS predicts UTk finishes 10th in the SEC and matches up with the 7th best ACC, Miami, the U.
I think its way too soon to guess how UTK will do vs Miami the U.
I will suggest that if UTk is not better than 7-5 and loses its bowl game, Dooley is gone.
Of course, they could finish 8-4, win their bowl and never stop rolling. Its just as likely as 6-6 and fired.

We could conceivably win 9 regular season games. I don't think it's likely, but we could.
But we could just as easily go 5-7 again if everything goes against us like it has the past two years.

UT is more talented than 9 teams on the schedule, and has as much talent as Florida and South Carolina. Whether Dooley can lead the Vols to victory is yet to be seen, but the talent is finally there.

I'm still worried about the defense. Offense should be fine for the most part. We still don't have enough depth at key positions though.

The defensive style will be better suited for us this year than last year. Wilcox played too conservative while Sunseri is going to play aggressive. UT's only chance of winning is offense so playing an aggressive style will put the ball in the offense's hands more.

Pretty much what I want to happen..........I actually considered starting a thread about our desperate need to beat you frickers this year. Of course with our coaching staff we could lose to Georgia state
