This seems like an appropriate time to remind everyone of how completely meaningless the ShameCocks are in the grand scheme of both the SEC and NCAA.

Lets take a look at some of USC-lite's vital statistics:

# of SEC champoinships for USCjr - zero

even better, # of times USCeast has even played in the SECCG - zero

# of years finished in the top 10 of any major poll, in the entire history of the program - zero

# of major bowl games (i.e. the current BCS bowls) that USCminorleagues has won - zero

actually, let's make that # of major bowl games they have even played in - yep, still zero

all-time record 515-517-44 (through 2007, but I guess congrats are in order for finally become a barely-above .500 team all-time)

And finally, lets not forget about your stellar record against UT - 4-22-2

Truly, I do want to thank all the Cock lovers for providing some entertainment with your attempted trash talk. Nothing is so pitiful and yet so hilarious at the same time. Good night.

And yet Tennessee has a losing record over the last two years. Superiority ftw.

We've been a mid-major for years now.

Though I will not be talked down to by USC fans.

Do you really think I care about what our record was 25 years before I was even born?

Do you care about wins your school acheived 50 years ago? 50 years ago doesn't mean shite now.

Traditional powers usually do. Recently, I've been reading a couple books on Alabama's Rose Bowl teams in the 1920s and 1930s.

screw all that. forget last 50, 100 years or whatever. what's important is not last year, not last 3 years, but last 2 years.
because if we talk about last 3 years, we have to include UT's 10 win season/trip to atlanta for SECCG. now we can't have that can we.

14-12 > 12-13 it is.

Our last two head coaches were a combined 15-2 against your school, so...

Alabama is what it is, because of what those teams did decades ago. Tradition makes the program, among other things. If it was insignificant, programs like Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Penn State, Southern Cal, etc., wouldn't continue to win decade after decade. Sure, there are cycles of mediocrity, but that's part of the game.

Capstone Grad, Gamecocks do not understand that, they do not know what tradition is.

However, if you have to lean too much on your past, it says alot about your present, but that's not a problem for Alabama fans nowadays

I'd wager Alabama's tradition is what kept it from sinking lower than it did from 1997-2006, when the recruiting sanctions and coaching mis-hires happened.

Local talent and coaching can make all the difference.

If Miami wasn't located where it is, it would have fallen into an even deeper abyss.
