There is not a fanbase in this world that is built for the challenge of finally abolishing the NCAA once and for all like the Tennessee Vols and Vol Twitter

The NCAA has no idea what they’ve gotten themselves into.

hahah so true.

NCAA is screwed.

They can if they want to. Tennessee has multiple billionaires living in the state. Alabama by contrast only has one.

That will become less relevant eventually. The dollars will not disappear, but will dry up. Imagine being a Bama booster who gave Caleb Downs a huge deal, then he transfers. Or Walter Nolen at Aggy. These people aren't stupid, and want returns on an investment.

It'll likely end up where we have a CBA and revenue sharing for athletes based on actual income the sports receive (to at least attempt to get around title IX) and then you'll see much smaller NIL deals that center around an actual exchange of goods or services to be valid, and likely some review process where someone can't pay like $1m for an autograph, for example.

A blonde chancellor named Donde is going to be the death of the NCAA and I'm here for it.

This lawsuit is a statement that solidifies the already well-known fact that East Tennessee rules the whole state. There may be 3 stars on the flag, but East Tennessee is the daddy.

The state would never take a stand against the NCAA on behalf of Memphis, MTSU, or Vandy. Hell, it was celebrated when Memphis was under the heat lamp.

The problem is the NCAA is just the schools. It's the member institutions themselves.

Maybe this is an opportunity to revamp things, but always remember: the state of things is how the schools want things to be. Never let them convince you it's the schools versus the NCAA.

What's about to happen is we're going to take our new Super conferences and form a big school NCAA. The small schools that make the various tourneys are about to get left out in the cold. I hate it too but the NCAA seems hellbent on its own destruction. We absolutely need a regulatory body for all college sports but not one that plays favorites and has vendettas and abandons even trying to regulate when they lose a case, among many other problems.

Alabama was first. Was it legal for Nick Saban to give out all those Dodge chargers and challengers to players?

Do I cheer for the Volunteers or the NCAA here? Gotta tell you I'm torn.

Spyre.. private jet… Nico.. same trip.. unofficial visit.

Pay for play is barking up the wrong tree. Tennessee can sue the NCAA over pay for play, but that isn’t relevant to rules over who can pay for flight/hotel on a trip that involves an unofficial visit. And for the dummies that don’t know, an unofficial visit isn’t just walking around on campus. It is specifically the coaching staff arranging recruiting activities for the recruit while the recruit is on campus.

Worse for Tennessee is they did have Nico on campus two weeks later for an official visit.

STFU!

You can forget Mizzou being relevant because there will be no divisions this year. You're hoping Tennessee is out of the picture.

Why don't you go mess around with CU fans.

I don’t need to. You can keep your head shoved up your arse, but pay for play NIL is Tennessee trying to make this case a side show to non-NIL related violations Tennessee committed.

You STFU or a notice to leave the SEC will be sent to your Alma mater.

You don't understand how this game is played. You probably have a problem with Alabama and Georgia.

Now GTFG!

Funny that he uses the name 'Emmanuel Goldstein', the name of a fictional propaganda tool who let himself be used to spout idiocy to the masses.

It fits.
